AI First campus

What students get

• Campus assistant. Answers questions about courses, timetables, fees, policies and events from official college documents. It shows its sources and says "I don't know" rather than guessing.
• Study tutor. Explains concepts and quizzes students on their own courses. It guides students to answers rather than handing over graded work. Faculty decide how it is used in each course.
• AI in every programme. Every branch uses AI tools in its labs and projects, from code assistants in Computer Science to design analysis in Civil and Mechanical Engineering.
• AI literacy. Short modules for every student on prompting, checking answers, protecting personal data and recognising bias.

What faculty and staff get

• Faculty copilot. Drafts lesson plans, quizzes and feedback. Faculty review and approve everything before students see it.
• Office copilot. Sorts helpdesk requests and drafts summaries and reports, so staff spend less time on paperwork.

Our rules for AI

1. AI never makes final decisions about admissions, grades or discipline. People do.
2. The assistant only uses information the person asking is allowed to see.
3. Conversations with the assistant are private to the user. Usage reports show totals, never individual chats.
4. AI answers cite their sources.
5. We publish what each AI system can and cannot do, and review them every semester.
