HKBK College of EngineeringNagawara, Bengaluru. An AI First and Quantum Ready campus.Affiliated to VTU, BelagaviApproved by AICTE, New Delhi
HKBK College of Engineering has educated engineers in Nagawara, Bengaluru since 1997, directly opposite Manyata Tech Park. Every programme now teaches students to build with AI, and our Quantum Lab prepares them for what comes next.

Why HKBK is becoming an AI-First campus, from the people leading the change.

Message from the Chairman
“We opened HKBK in 1997 to give every young person a fair chance at an excellent engineering education. Becoming an AI First and Quantum Ready campus is how we keep that promise for the next generation.”
Shri. C M IbrahimChairman, HKBK Group of Institutions
Dear students, parents and partners,
When HKBK College of Engineering opened its doors in 1997, our aim was simple: to give young people from every background a fair chance at an excellent engineering education. That aim has not changed. What has changed is the world our graduates walk into.
Artificial intelligence is now part of how software is written, how buildings are designed, and how hospitals and factories run. Quantum computing is moving out of research laboratories and into its first real applications. The engineers who lead over the next twenty years will be the ones who understand both, and who use them responsibly.
HKBK is building an AI-First campus, where artificial intelligence is part of how every student learns, every teacher teaches and every service runs. Students in all five BE programmes learn to use AI tools in their own discipline, to check what those tools produce, and to build AI systems of their own.
Faculty use AI to design richer courses and give faster, more personal feedback, while clear rules keep people, not algorithms, in charge of grades and other decisions that affect students. Leading the change are our AI Faculty Champions, who guide AI adoption in every department, and our AI Student Ambassadors, who run peer workshops and help classmates use AI responsibly.

A month-by-month chronicle of how HKBK is rewriting the future of engineering education.
January – February 2026
Our transformation began with conviction from the top. The Principal conducted multiple intensive awareness sessions with all department heads and faculty members, laying the groundwork for a campus-wide AI revolution.
March 2026
March saw HKBK move from awareness to action. Our AIML department built real, working AI applications — proving that AI is not just for tech giants. This hands-on approach earned us national recognition.
AICTE Recognition: Potential Nodal Center for Universal Human Values
April 2026
HKBK partnered with industry expert Mr. Rocky Jagtiani to launch a comprehensive 6-month AI transformation program. Three intensive Faculty Development Programs were conducted, covering prompt engineering, hands-on AI tools, and pedagogical innovation.

May 2026
May marks the full activation of Layer 1 of the 5-layer AI framework. AI is now being used across departments in teaching, planning, and administration. The transformation is happening at scale.
June – July 2026Layer 2
HKBK College of Engineering, Bangalore, organised an AI Transformation Workshop for its faculty. Faculty members who showed outstanding participation and active contribution were recognised as AI Faculty Champions, honouring their enthusiasm and commitment to adopting AI-driven practices.
August – September 2026Layer 3
The AI First initiative moved from the classroom to real-world delivery with an industry consultancy project: an AI-powered customer-support chatbot and Instagram operations system for a Bengaluru food business. The system answers customer questions using approved business knowledge and hands over to a human whenever a question needs one.
September – October 2026 — PresentLayer 4
September and October took the AI First journey into campus operations. Using the Zoho Creator low-code platform, HKBK began building its own digital systems for Hostel Management and Attendance Management, replacing manual registers and spreadsheets with secure, role-based apps and live dashboards. Alongside this, a new Alumni Portal is being developed as part of the HKBK college website. The systems are being built in-house by HKBK students under faculty mentorship.

HKBK launches 6-month AI Transformation Program with industry partner
HKBK partnered with an industry expert to launch a 6-month AI transformation program for faculty. Three Faculty Development Programmes covered prompt engineering, AI for academic work, and hands-on AI tools, leading to faculty teams, real-world problem statements and the college's first Prompt Library.
AI Faculty Champions recognised at AI Transformation Workshop
HKBK College of Engineering organised an AI Transformation Workshop for its faculty. Faculty members who showed outstanding participation and active contribution were recognised as AI Faculty Champions with a Certificate of Recognition, honouring their commitment to adopting AI-driven practices in teaching and academic work.

That is why we have committed HKBK to becoming an AI First and Quantum Ready campus. Every department will teach with AI tools and teach students how to build them. Our Quantum Lab will let students run their own circuits on real quantum hardware. And the systems that hold student and research records will move to the new quantum-safe security standards.
Technology alone does not make a good engineer. Through our Universal Human Values programme, we ask every student to think about the people their work will serve. Skill and character must grow together.
Our campus sits directly opposite Manyata Tech Park, and industry is our neighbour. I invite companies to train their teams with us, to bring us their engineering problems, and to hire our graduates.
To our students: work hard, stay curious, and look after one another. To parents: thank you for trusting us with your children's future.

Message from the Director
“An AI First campus is built one practical step at a time: better labs, faster services for students, and real projects with the companies across the road.”
Shri. C M Faiz MohammedDirector, HKBK College of Engineering
Dear students, colleagues and partners,
Big ideas need careful execution. My role is to make sure the AI First and Quantum Ready vision turns into things you can see and use on campus every day.
For students, that means simpler services. Certificates, requests and enquiries are moving online, so you spend less time in queues and more time learning. Our dashboards will show how each service is performing, so we can fix what is slow.
For faculty, it means better tools and time. We are investing in AI-ready computer labs, the Quantum Lab, and training so that every teacher is confident using AI in the classroom.
For industry, it means a partner that delivers. Our consultancy cell takes on real engineering, software and AI problems, led by faculty and supported by student researchers. Our corporate training programmes help working teams learn AI, quantum computing and modern software in short, practical formats, on our campus or at yours.
None of this works without trust. We will be open about what we are building, honest about what is not finished, and quick to respond when something goes wrong. If you have an idea or a complaint, write to us through the contact page. Every message is read.
I look forward to building this campus with you.
Shri. C M Faiz Mohammed
Director, HKBK College of Engineering

Message from the Principal
“Our job is to graduate engineers who think clearly, build carefully and keep learning. AI and quantum computing raise the bar for all three.”
Dr. Mohammed Riyaz AhmedPrincipal, HKBK College of Engineering
Dear students,
Welcome to HKBK College of Engineering. Whether you are joining us this year or returning for another semester, I want you to know what we expect from you, and what you can expect from us.
We follow the curriculum of Visvesvaraya Technological University, and we go beyond it. In every programme, you will learn to use AI tools well: to check their answers, to understand their limits, and to build systems of your own. Students who want to go further can take our quantum computing tracks and run experiments on real quantum hardware.
Strong fundamentals still matter most. Mathematics, physics, programming and clear writing are what let you learn the next technology, and the one after that. Our faculty will push you on these, and support you when it gets hard. Every student has a faculty mentor; use them.
Learning also happens outside the classroom. Join a project, a club or a research group. Take part in our Universal Human Values sessions, which help you think about the kind of engineer and person you want to be.
To our research scholars: our research centre and faculty are here to help you publish, patent and solve problems that matter. To our faculty: thank you for your commitment to every student.
Attend regularly, ask questions, and be honest in your work. Do that, and HKBK will open doors for you.
